About the Award
The Park City Student Service Award was launched in 2020 by PCHS student Katie McGuire, in partnership with Dr. Jill Gildea, Park City School District superintendent, and with the support of the Park City Education Foundation and The McGuire Family Foundation.

The idea for the award germinated with Katie as she attended her older sister's graduation from PCHS in 2018. Noticing a lack of recognition of student volunteers, she set about changing that. To date, 34 students have been honored and 14 seniors have earned graduation cords. Over 40 nonprofit organizations have benefited from more than 4,000 hours of Park City student volunteer efforts.
